Granlibakken at Tahoe City?
Any Fodorites stayed here? Trip Advisor reviews are decidedly mixed. We've booked for a one-night stay later this week. We're meeting East Coast friends there for a quick visit while they're traveling through the N. Lake Tahoe area.

All right, Betsy, if nobody better...
My co-worker goes to Ganlibakken in winter to ski, he says it's a nice area and there is a chalet for conventions, from the outside it looks nice.
Will you let me borrow your pin now quot;>

Granlibakken is a fine place. It's very old school Tahoe, as in the older wings are a bit 70's ish, but that's part of the charm in my opinion. It's also got a pretty decent buffet breakfast. If it's got mixed reviews, it's probably from people expecting something newer/ nicer.
