Grand Teton Lodging
Well, I moved on the Grand Teton lodging choice too late and Signal Mountain is booked. So, Jackson Lake Lodge it is. Now the choices are main building or "cottage" room with patio. Having gone through the cabins aren't really cabins in YP, I have to wonder what the heck the "cottage" rooms are at JLL! Anyone want to throw in their 2 cents? And is it worth the extra $$ to get a room with a view at either the main building (no patio/balcony) or at the "cottage"? Thanks to all who continue to share your experiences with us!

We stayed in the cottages and thought they were quite serviceable. As the weather wasn't co-operative when we were there we spent alot of time in the lobby of the Lodge; reading, playing cards, etc. and it was nice to actually be staying "outside" of that. It was close enough to walk to the Lodge but not so close that we felt guilty if we drove! The diner in the Lodge was a good place to eat - counter service and good food.

We stayed in the main lodge non view room. Save the money verses a room with a view. , you will want to be outside on the huge verandah deck looking at the wildlife. The large high ceiling second floor lobby is also a very pleasant place to relax.
