Grand Marias, MN
We plan to go to Grand Marias, MN at the end of Oct. and the beginning of Nov. 2019. Will, there be very much open then, such as stores, attractions, restaurants, nature activities - this also includes surrounding areas?
Thanks,
Idelle

Sven and Ole’s Pizza is still there. November will be quiet but everything stays open. November is the month of big storms so there might be high surf. The Hwy 61 drive is spectacular, having just driven Big Sur I'll say it's not that spectacular but it's in the same league, and quite a bit longer. No chance for any traffic anywhere, however.

A couple recommendations for east of Grand Marais
Plain, but worth a quick stop if open

National Monument is free, there might be some Indian window displays in the casino

Marais normally means "Swamp" in French but in old French Canadian it meant "small bay."
