Good Character Breakfast at WDW
Planning on a trip to Disney World, 8 nights @ All-Star Sports Resorts. Just Wondering where the better character breakfasts are and any other good dining for other meals. Have 2 Adults and 2 Children(6 & 9). Have already made reservations at Hoop-dee-doo Revue. I have both the Birnbaum's Guide and the Fodor's Unofficial guide. Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

Your kids will love the all star. We have been to quite a few character breakfasts. The best one was at the polynesian resort. Lots of food to choose from. I'm sure your kids will love any of them. The first time is always the best. Find out which characters your kids want to meet, and match them to the character breakfast.
If you are looking for more cool restaurants for yourselves and the kids try the Sci Fi at MGM and the Prime time cafe at MGM. Your kids will love the Rainforest cafe at the Marketplace. Planet Hollywood is another good bet. The Mexican pavillion at epcot is cool. There is a food court below horizons that my kids liked. They could go get whatever they wanted and the foods not bad either. O'Hana at the polynesian was fun. All you can eat (jumbo shrimp) etc. plus games like hula hoop competition. The Hoop de doo is pretty good but I thought it was a little pricy. I think there are probably better dinner shows in Orlando. I know there are many to choose from. Your will have a great time. You sound like you are doing the right thing by planning far in advance.

Our favorite was at Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge. when we were there it was the Pochahontas characters but I think it is Winnie the Pooh now. Very nice restaurant and the best french toast I have ever had! Have a great time. p.s. we stayed at the All Star Sports and my 5 year old loved it.

I agree that of the three character breakfasts we have been to, the Mini's breakfast at the Polynesian had the best food by far. The characters were Mini.
Goofy, and Chip and Dale. For some different characters that are harder to see else where and
fun surroundings I recommend the character breakfast in Cinderella's Castle. The food was not buffet and was just average but we got to see the inside of the castle and met Cinderella, Peter Pan, Captain Hook,
Alice, The White Rabbit, and Pearla the mouse. The
Mary Poppins breakfast at the Grand Floridian was just what the Bob Sehlinger Unofficial Guide said, loud, and not very good food. We have had great success following the advice and itineraries of the Bob Sehlinger Unofficial Guide. The one time I didn't we were sorry. Have a great trip!

My kids were 7 and 9 on our first trip to WDW in 1995. We loved it so much we returned the very next summer.
Consider the Character Breakfast at the Contemporary Resort. My kids thought it was very cool to ride the monorail right into the middle of the hotel. At the time, it's breakfast buffet ran a little later than most, and had what my kids called "regular" food; that is, bacon and pancakes instead of banana-stuffed french toast.
Our all time favorite restaurant in WDW is the Coral Reef at Epcot.

The Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom has a good character breakfast with Winnie the Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore. Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary is very good. Both are buffet. I was just at Disney, and they told me that they recommend making reservations for the breakfast at Cinderella's Castle at least 60 days in advance because it is so popular.
