Golden Gate Bridge
What's the best way to get to the Golden Gate from there? Can I easily bike ride or would a car be a better bet? New visitor to SF this coming summer and wanted to visit the Golden Gate. I'll be staying near Fisherman's Wharf. Thanks

A bike is a great way to experience the bridge. Rent a bike from www.blazingsadles.com. Ride across the bridge and into Sausalito, taking the ferry back. It will be a fun day. The bike folks will provide you with a good map.

I second the bike! It is a pretty easy ride over the bridge. After you go over the bridge, there is a very steep hill down into Sausalito that is fun but a little scary! It is very easy to get a bike near Fisherman's Wharf.
When on a bike, you can stop and take in the view. When you drive over it, it seems like any other bridge.

You said, >>What's the best way to get to the Golden Gate from there?<<
with the topic of the Golden Gate Bridge.
I am comfused. I assume you know that the Golden Gate Bridge crosses the Golden Gate.
Anyway, there are bike rentals in the Fisherman's Wharf area and they will give you maps and all the information you need. And I agree, it is nice then to ride down to Sausalito and take the ferry back to the city from there.
