Glacier, Yellowstone, Teton Road Trip

I am planning a road trip to Glacier, Yellowstone & Teton for mid-August. My husband and I are in our 60's, we are relatively fit. We would enjoy some walking but are not really hikers. We don't mind road trips, we enjoy riding around - sightseeing, stopping for picnics, photographing the views, etc. I know this is a bit crowded but...if I were to add a day, where/when do you think I should? What is there to do in Jackson in the summer? Should we stay at Colter Bay a second night and make Jackson a day trip? This is our second trip to Yellowstone. I would appreciate some input on our itinerary. Thank you!

Glacier, Yellowstone, Teton Road Trip

Day 1. Fly to Billings, rent car & drive to Great Falls, Mt (217 miles)

Day 2. Drive from Great Falls, Mt to Columbia Falls, Mt (213 miles)

Day 3. Drive “Going To The Sun” Road (53 miles), Drive to Many Glacier Lodge (2 hrs, etc.)

Day 4. Stay at Many Glacier for the day, (boat tour) then drive to Waterton, Canada

Day 5. Waterton to Browning (58 miles), (Plains Indian Museum) to Great Falls (129 miles)

Day 6. Great Falls to Gardiner via Lewis & Clark National Forest (172 miles)

Day 7. Gardiner through Yellowstone, stay at Old Faithful Lodge

Day 8. Yellowstone to Grand Teton (Colter Bay)

Day 9. Teton to Jackson

Day 10. Jackson through Yellowstone to Cody (See museum in Cody) (194 miles)

Day 11. Cody to Billings, spend night (103 miles)

Day 12. Fly Home

I would definitely add any extra time to Yellowstone but then I would have spent more time in all the parks and not the cities so my type of travel might be completely different than yours. Do keep in mind that Yellowstone park is enormous and even with 2 full days you will barley touch the surface.

I would skip the museum of the Plains Indian in favor of more time in Yellowstone. I wasn't that impressed with the museum.
If you can get lodging at Mammoth instead of Gardiner, do it.
The National Forest around Gardiner is the Gallatin.

Forgot to ask if you already had your reservations for the Old Faithful Inn. If not, you might need to change your plans. They usually book up early.

Thanks for the advice Tomfuller and Utahtea, I will try to book Mammoth Springs for one night and I do need to book Old Faithful. Should I spend two night in Colter Bay Village or one night in Jackson? What is there to do in Jackson in the summer?

There's usually something going on in George Washington Memorial Park. http://www.yellowstonepark.com/2013/...rch-tradition/
