getting married in las vegas

Hi
Anyone had any involvement in getting married in Las Vegas. Any tips and or recommendations. Is end of October a good time? Are there any packages anyone can recommend?
Truly grateful for any responses.
Steve

Every time we have been in Vegas, I have *loved* seeing all the bridal parties around the hotels and casinos. They all seem so excited and happy, just like any other bridal party anywhere else!

I have no info to offer beyond the obvious, which is to contact the hotel/resorts that you like and talk to the wedding concierge or whatever they call them.

Congrats to you and to the future "Mrs. Steve".

Your first stop-http://www.clarkcountynv.gov/Depts/clerk/Services/Pages/MarriageLicenses.aspx

I gave away a bride at the "Chapel of Love" a few years ago.
There is at least one drive up place where you can get married in your car.

I'd do it at the Paris so you can tell people you got married in Paris for the rest of your life.

We were in a wedding party last year at the Bellagio -the hotel handled every single detail. All the hotels have wedding planners, if you want to go that route.

I only have experience as a guest but some friends got married at the Bellagio a few years ago. It was a beautiful and classy wedding. The hotel handled everything and it was all first rate. And the food was great.

We're going to a relative's wedding at the Bellagio next May. The only down side is alot of family cannot travel the distance from various countries in Europe to attend. Have seen the details on the wedding packages from the Bellagio which can include everything including picking up the license beforehand. Also the meals are on a minimum spend basis rather than per person which is better in case of people not able to attend at the last moment.
