Getting AAA Discount in Vegas
Because the TI website doesn't allow you to access the AAA discount, do people generally just ask for the discount when they are checking in at their Vegas hotel?

We've stayed at T.I. several times and always got the AAA discount, just mention it when checking in and present your card. Occasionally, some hotels will not allow the discount if the room rate is a promotional rate and/or heavily discounted already. Just ask -- no harm in that. If you really want to be sure just call the hotel toll free reservation number and ask. Generally we have gotten the discount at every hotel we have ever stayed in in LV.

Mike - Yes, we like T.I. alot. The location is great and you can take the FREE tram to the Mirage (3 min. ride!) which gives you accessibility to both hotels easily. The pool at TI is nothing exciting, but that does not bother us. Rooms are nicely decorated with real closets (as opposed to armoire as in many hotels in Vegas now). Closet has mirrored doors, safe, iron & ironing board. Bathrooms (while not gigantic like Aladdin) are decent sized and decorated nicely as well. We always eat breakfast at the hotel we are in and the Terrace Cafe was fine for that. TI also has a Starbucks and Krispy Kreme if you are not into big breakfasts. Like the Mirage (another of my favorites) the self parking is NOT a 20 mile walk. At the TI it is behind the hotel connected by a 3rd floor "bridge". IF you have a car these are good things to know about Hotel staff was very pleasant, the hotel was very clean and maids did up the room early as requested (that is a big thing with me).
The casino is not as large as some of the other hotels, but that is not an issue for us. The TI Sirens show is a little tacky (Bring back Pirates !!!) but that also is no issue.
We've stayed in most of the major hotels and found TI to be a pleasant experience (in fact we are staying there again at Christmas time).
Enjoy your trip.

Here's a new one. When calling Wyndham hotels for a San Diego booking, I asked for and was quoted an AAA rate as well as a senior rate. When I hesitated about booking saying I was trying to keep it at less than that, the guy finally said, "do you have a Costco card?" "Yes," I said. That was over $20 less than the AAA rate. So now I ask about a Costco discount as well, something I never would have thought about!
