From Terminal One to International Terminal in LAX?

We will be taking a Southwest Airlines flight from Oakland Airport in California to LAX (Los Angeles airport) before going on to the International terminal (Bradley? has some name) and catching a flight to Tahiti. Can anyone tell me how one gets from one terminal to the other and roughly how long it takes? I'm not at all familiar with LAX.

Thanks

There's a shuttle bus that goes around to all the terminals. Or you can walk, but terminal 1 is about as far away from the Bradley terminal as you can get. See:

LAX is shaped like a big "U", with Bradley being at the bottom and Southwest being at the top of one of the sides. It sounds far but it isn't really. It would probably take me about 10-15 minutes to walk door to door It's kind of a toss up: wait for the shuttle or walk.

Correct. Half a mile, so 10-15 minutes of walk. If you decide on the shuttle, look for the green sign outside baggage claim that says "LAX Shuttle". You can hop on any one - whether it is "Airline Connection", "Lot B", "Lot C" or "Green Line Station". They will all stop at T2, T3, and then TBIT.

Oops... LAX Shuttle should be under the BLUE sign, not green.
