From Lititz to Longwood Gardens & dinner

Planning a weekend in PA and would like to visit Longwood Gardens for the fountains & music show in the evening. We would be travelling from Lititz (where we are staying). Anyone know of any good restaurants near Longwood Gardens (or on the way from Lititz to Longwood) for dinner?

The Orchard in Kennett Square (610-388-1100) is an upscale BYO that serves eclectic New American food with touches of French -- if your tastes are venturesome & you don't mind dropping a bundle. Or Kennett Square Inn (610-444-5687) for reliable American, & it has a bar. Or Half Moon Restaurant & Saloon, casual, (610-444-7232) interesting American food, offers some game dishes, & has a bar.

Also, Sovano and State Street Grill, both in Kennett Square are good BYOB's.

The Mendenhall Inn (off of Route 1) has excellent food. It is expensive, but well worth it!

Really, Kerry? I work about 1/2 mile down the road from the Mendenhall, but I've never eaten there. I've never heard anyone recommend it, either, but I will try it sometime if you have had good meals there.

Well, I may be a bit biased because I had my wedding reception there. It was everything I wanted!
My in-laws sponsored a brunch there the next morning and they still rave about it four years later. We celebrated our six month anniversary there and had a delicious dinner. We went in January and it was very cozy- they had a fire going.
I think you should give it a try!
By the way, I live in Exton!

Really? Well, we are close neighbors. I live in the Whitford Hills area of Downingtown!
