from Denver to Colorado Springs
Hello, after 3,5 hours of search I'm finally giving up. Is there any public transportation between Denver and Colorado Springs? I will be in Denver end of May - beginning of June, still planning the trip, and want to go to Colorado Springs for one day only. Amtrak has 2 buses a day only which makes it impossible to get back the same day. Greyhound search gave me $98 round-trip what is insane. Is there any local public transportation? Web site? At least the name of the transport companies, please?
And driving is out of question.

Faina why not rent a car? Enterprise leasing often has them for 19.00 a day.
you might call RTD if you have not already not sure that we have public transportation to the Springs?

In most parts of Colorado, the public transportation system is very poor. In fact, I think there is a bus to CS from Denver, but it takes about 3 hours to make the 1 hour trip because of so many stops. I agree with the above poster, I believe you could rent a car for less money than a bus ride anyway.
