We would like to attend the 2002 New Orleans Jazz Fest and would like to know what are the actual dates and does anyone know of any B&B's in the Quarter?

You better book ASAP!!! Jazz Fest is always the last weekend of April and first of May but rooms book much earlier. Last year we booked in October and couldn't get our 1st 2nd or 3rd choices. I recommend B&W Courtyards, La Maison Marigny or Melrose Mansion based on what I've read on this board.

Now we are thinking that we might rather attend the French Quarter Festival instead of the Jazz Festival. The dates work better. Thanks so much for your input. It is greatly appreciated.

Good choice...the French Quarter Festival is much better than Jazz Fest!!

Rebecca, FQ Fest is great but it's becoming a VERY popular event. You'll also encounter higher rates and minimum stay requirements but it's probably worth it.
