rant: watching Assorama on talk shows like The View, and Regis and Kelly, getting in arguments with female hosts, and lieing to the world that one of the other girls called her the "N" word. Since then the other girl has been on two live broadcasts and called Assorama a lier. Assorama is a total racist bitch.

rave. Yesterday it was 75 (above zero!) up here in the great north mid-west!!!

Rave: Omarossa getting caught lying on camera. (Anyone who hires her deserves what they get.)
Rant: I was looking forward to The Donald raking her over the coals for her atrocious performance, but he wimped out.
Rave: Prime Suspect this Sunday!
Rant: All the best tv crammed onto Sunday night!
Rave: Television programs are all I can find to rant about this week. Life must be ok.

Congrats Ani!!! I was about to say why was there no countdown to due date this week! LOL

Thanks for the cat & the carrier suggestions!! My only problem with this is that since I adopted a fraidy cat who may have been bothered in the past, she will not let anyone PICK HER UP!!!

I have left the carrier open in the middle of the room hoping that she gets used to it. So far she's only sniffed it (and undoubtedly smells my parents cat on it!!) Maybe spraying the carrier with catnip will help?

congrats on the baby!
BIG RAVE: kwame was just on cnbc. said mark cuban of dallas mavericks waited 2 hours for him at his after-party and offered him a job managing portfolio investments.
that's really nice because kwame is a really nice/classy guy.
p.s: he wouldn't tell the host if he accepted the job.

missjanna, I have a few suggestions for you, cat-wise.

The first is to wash down the carrier, inside and out, with a solution of bleach and water. This should get rid of the smell of other cats which will only make yours more nervous.

Second, you can pick your cat up using a large towel to restrain her. It can be tricky getting her out of the towel and into the carrier, and it certainly helps to have 2 people to do this.

You might want to put something in the carrier that she is familiar with -- something that she sleeps on, perhaps, or an article of clothing that smells like you if that will be comforting to her.

No matter what we have ever done, our cats have always hated the carrier. It screams one word to them, "VET!"

Rave: Ani: I wasn't going to post on Freaky Friday today, (busy w/visitors and busy w/work, etc.) but I can't help myself now!! This is even better than you not posting and leaving us wondering. So happy for you and glad it went o.k. You have many sweet happy moments (and others we won't talk about now, better to just wait and weather those when they come) ahead of you. P.S. Feel free to rant about being exhausted next wk., it's ok to rant even after you have a sweet little baby.

Rave: Sunshine and 80 degrees this weekend in the nation's capitol. Picnic recipes dancing through my brain. Have in-law company from Boston here and they are really enjoying it and deserve it too, after all that torrential rain they got recently (right, bennie?)

Rave: Nice weather at last!

Rave: Red Sox vs Yankees - go SOX!

Rants: Tax return was spent a month ago - boohoo.

Rave: Helping the economy by spending most of it!

Rave: Saved some for Christmas - oh no - am I going to get slammed for even mentioning Christmas after waiting FOREVER for Spring?

Rave: Ani, congratulations and don't sneeze because the next 18 yrs. go by in an eyeblink, even if you think these each of these early nights is going on for months!

Rant: that I even know who Omorossa is. She said that her brother was in jail -- is lack of conscience or shame a family trait? (Plus maybe inability to avoid getting caught.) Nonetheless, I think more of the whole thing was scripted than Burnett et al would have us think, and I expect them to be dumb enough to bring her back. Must-not-see-TV.

Rave: Spring in the Triangle is, as soccr said, at its peak.

emd - You are so right - right as rain if you'll pardon the pun. I hope your Bostonians enjoy the sunshine.

Ani- Congratulations. May the warmth of the sun always shine on you and your baby. Imagine being born on Easter Sunday. What a blessing.
