Rant: Arriving early for a doctor's appointment and still not seeing your doctor until 30 minutes after your appointment time. Also, your doctor rushing you through the visit. Every doctor I have ever been to (and there have been many) rushes you. God forbid you have a few questions!
Okay, now I feel better.
Rave: 3 day weekend this weekend.

Rant:You only had to wait 30 minutes? Last time I was there for a 4:45 appointment, the 3 people sitting near me also had a 4:45 appointment! I finally got to see the doc @ 6:00. I shd also add that I waited 7 months to get an appointment w/ this specialist!!
Rave: It's sunny today, it's starting to warm up, we only have about 6 more weeks of winter!!!

To Wow: I had gotten there 45 minutes early. Apparently a few people also had 1:00 appointments. I too have had to wait several months for an appointment. I am only ranting about it because it happened yesterday!
Sorry for your long wait too!

Rant: The common one of two little vacation time. I am thinking about pursuing a travel photography career on the side but can't see how to do that and take family trips on less than three weeks of vacation.
Rave: I generally greatly dislike reality shows, but I also find The Apprentice fascinating and a tad scary. It reminds me of all the group projects I worked on in grad business school, except on steroids. Talk about your dog eat dog world. Plus, after two great trips to NYC last year, I like getting to see more of Manhattan each week.

I am on board early this week, and have some well needed ones:
Rant: Missing The Apprentice due to a late night work meeting that got me home at 11:00p.m. and having to be at another meeting early this a.m.
Rant: Husband who forgets the Apprentice is on and doesn't tape it, but saw the last 20 minutes and tells me what happened!
Rant: Just adding to memejw re: the doctors appts--I recently cancelled a doctors appt. that was made in early Dec. They couldn't fit me in for almost 4 weeks, and since then the problem abated. Now they want to charge me for a $25.00 cancellation fee. Sent me a nasty letter about how they could ban me from the practice if I "continue to miss appointments"...and I have never missed another appointment in their office in all the years I've been going there. Uh huh, sounds like a great way to treat a customer to me....maybe they need a few tips from SW Airlines!!
Rave: I'm out of rants! It's Friday, and I am planning to go stroll through out local close-out store for some bargain merchandise. Oh, and it's payday!

Rant: You want to talk about long doctor's visits? My FIRST visit to my doctor, I was scheduled for 5:30. When did I finally get to see him? 8:30!! On top of that, I didn't get out of his office until 10:00pm because since I was a new patient, he took his time. Since then, my visits have been shorter, but it was still a pain in the tuckus at the time!
Rant: My commute has been delayed almost every day this week. Wednesday was a damaged rail, Thursday my bus was 20 minutes late, and then there was a sick passenger on the train. Today my bus was 20 minutes late again, and this time there was a delay on the train for no specified reason. I wouldn't mind it as much if it wasn't FREEZING!! (Yes, I'm in NYC and as much as people are sick of hearing about it, my legs were literally numb with pain from the windy cold!)
Rave: It's Friday so I get to stay indoors for the next 2 days.
Rave: Finally got my flight booked for my trip to Miami and Puerto Rico today.
Rave: Signed up for a Triathalon scheduled for June to raise money for Lymphoma and Leukemia, which should kick my butt in gear for training. Donations, anyone?

Rant: Commuting to a job 300 miles from home because there seem to be NO JOBS in New York state!
Rave: Living in New York state! I don't ever want to be far away from the Adirondacks, NYC, our farms, wineries, or the great lifestyle upstate affords.

Rant: Being told by the boss on Wednesday (1/14) that as of 1/30 we longer have jobs. And finding out that he's know for more than a month that he would be shutting down. Real nice, huh??
Rave: Getting my travel docs to Jamaica. Just 20 more sleeps and I'll be there!!

Rant: I work on Monday. Damn.
Rant: I have Jury Duty next week starting Tuesday.
Rave: If I get called to serve, I don't have to drive an hour to work-- I drive 10 minutes to downtown!
Rave: Even if I don't get called, next week's a blowoff week of in-house seminars!
Rave: Less than 30 minutes to quittin' time and then a weekend with my Main Squeeze!! Ahh, cuddlin'....
Rave: Daytime highs will stay around 70F this weekend! Sorry-- couldn't resist....
