8 nights is an eternity in LV. Hope you've got plenty of non-casino activities planned.
The FS is an interesting place. Great views from all rooms, quiet solace amid the hubbub, great service.
The standard rooms are not nearly as nice as most FS hotels elsewhere, and not as nice as Bellagio and Venetian.
The suites are very nice however.

I go to a business convention every year in Las Vegas. Our group stayed at the Four Seasons one year. It is serene and refined and occupies the top floors of the Mandalay Bay Hotel. It has a separate lobby and entrance and separate restaurants. The coffee shop restaurant is excellent and Charlie Palmer's steak house just OK.
We found that we ended up spending most of our time at the Mandalay Bay pools, spa, gym and shops. It's a long walk from the Four Seasons lobby to the Mandalay and that became an inconvenience. This year, we moved to the Mandalay Bay and the standard rooms were just about the same as the Four Seasons and we were all happier. Four Seasons' guests can use the Mandalay Bay pools free but Mandalay Bay guests cannot use the one Four Seasons pool. I missed the Four Seasons pool because it was easy to get a private cabana and they brought you iced towels for your face and little snacks on silver trays. You could also order any food you wanted from the menu or otherwise so you weren't limited to the fast food at the pool area for lunch.
We've decided that we'll return to the Mandalay every year as the Four Seasons doesn't have that much more to offer overall.

We thought the Four Seasons was great. We have stayed at other Four Seasons.
The standard rooms are very spacious and the room we had was beautifully decorated with an amazing bathroom.
They were great to our kids also.
We enjoyed the pool there as it's relaxing with the most comfortable chairs. We found the wait staff to be on top of everything and very nice.
We did go to the pool areas at Mandalay Bay but it was so crowded there that it wasn't relaxing so we just stuck with the pool at the FS.

The Four Seasons LV is ONLY worth staying at if you get a very competitive rate there.
As in less than $200/night.
Reason: the regular rooms are not as nice as some of the better strip hotels. Its primary advantages are the peace and quiet (if that's a positive for you), and best service in town.
The bathrooms are no better than many of the nicer hotels' standard baths (Venetian, for example).
Note well: the suites at places like Bellagio are much, much nicer than the standard rooms at the FS, and still cost less most of the time!!
