Four Queens?
I will be going to Vegas in December and got adeal too good to pass up for three nights at the 4 Queens. I've always stayed downtown at the Golden Nugget but have dropped a few bills and coins at the 4 Queens. How are the lodgings there? Any problems there? Is there a more desireable part of the hotel? Any noise from the Fremont Street Experience (beyond what you would expect)?. Any help would be appreciated.

Don't get this message wrong...we LOVE downtown Vegas! However, two years ago we wer gambling downtown and we went to the Four Queens. They apparently had a sewage problem of some sort, because you couldn't walk through the casino without smelling it. There's nothing like raw sewage to leave an impression. The funny thing is, we didn't ask anyone about it...so we'll never know what that was!

Ron,
Have not personally stayed at the FQ, however, have experienced the smell problem there. Chances are it's been taken care of but who knows? That said, though, have seen some good oldies shows there and Hugos Cellar IS the tops: they don't build restaurants like that anymore!
