Why is everyone so rude in this forum. Just because this person mispelled Ft. Lauderdale. Not sure what kind of nature you wnat to see. There's Metro Zoo in Miami, Parrot Jungle, Monkey Jungle. But, the Everglades boat tours are fun. If nature is cooperating you should get to see some really cool animals.

bethsmall1,

I think sylvia3 was very clever. If you don't spell the destination properly, how do you expect sensible responses. Bad spelling is bad spelling---madi spelled Fort Lauderdale incorrectly twice, indicating she needs to do some more research.

Maybe she just needs some "advise"!

perhaps you all are just being rude. I think everyone was able to tell what city she was talking about. Most peolple are very nice and helpful on this forum. But, like anything else there are always rude people everywhere.

There's not a great deal of "nature" left in Ft. Lauderdale. There is the ocean, of course, which is the best reason for going there.

While you're in town I would also take the water taxis up and down the river. You'll see why they call Ft. L. the American Venice. It's not natural in the way the Everglades is, but the mult-million dollar homes and yachts you cruise by certainly are foreign to me!

Wish I could be there.

What's the problem with telling someone the correct spelling for a city? I don't see that as rudeness, just simple help.

Sylvia3 ... That was funny !!!

Madi .... The Water Taxi is fun also a walk on Las Olas for food and shopping. Other than that Joni Mitchell was right , "They took paradise and put up a parking lot."
