Foley's Fish House New York

Arriving in NYC this weekend for a few days; for our first night we're planning to have dinner at Foley's Fish House in Times Square. I know it's touristy but the location and view would be a first-night thrill. Zagat's food review is OK, but I've also read awful things about food and service. I could tolerate "just okay" -- we'll save a gourmet experience for another night. Anyone eaten there recently who could share their opinion?

Robin, I ate there with 2 friends about a month ago and we were all satisfied. No problem with service. Food was good. One minor complaint was that my 2 friends had the mussels appetizer and said that the mussels on the top (they were in a bowl) were not that warm. Even though we are NYers, we found the view different - seeing the lights and billboards of Times Square at eye level (the restaurant is 1 floor up). Enjoy!

I've eaten at Foley's several times and always enjoyed the meals and view; never had a bad experience there. Be sure to make a reservation because the other day I was unable to get in without one!

I have been to Foley's for Sunday
brunch. I really enjoyed the vantage
point there of Times Sq. The food and
service were fine.

Foley's sounds like fun - can anyone give me a general idea of the price range for 1 meal, 1 soft-drink, no dessert? Thanks!
