I'm curious ... which town? I'm from Coffeyville originally, though now a New Yorker for almost 20 years.

Doug.. I'm in Altoona, about hr NW of C-ville.

Kit-- Darn tootin' Rock Chalk!!! Watching them now on ncaa on demand bc/ the stupid NY network keeps switching back to Stan/Marq. We only get E/W coast feeds with the DirecTV.

Too bad for KSU, have a niece there, so I have to "kind of" root for them. Had KSU won, my niece would have gone too, as she plays for the KSU football marching band, but had been asked to go to Det. & play in the pep band. Too bad, would have been fun for her. Have another nephew that grad. KSU, so our family is split.

Have a sis & her 2 girls in Shawnee, they are DIE HARD 'hawks... both girls & their husbands graduated KU. One hubby is going to detroit next week for the games. I've always loved KU. My son liked it till he got married, and while his wife likes it, he switched to purple and has brainwashed Payton to only like the cats.

Hawks came out strong in second half, hope they keep it up. I'm listening, but must minimize this screen so I can see it.

Not quite 20 years. I moved to NYC in 1990, but I had already moved to Louisiana in 1986, so it's a long time since I was in Kansas (I was a KU student too).

And what a great site your Kansas Travel site is, Keith. I enjoy it.

Travel247... I have a cousin in Norwich, are you near there, by chance?

thanks Kansans for responding. Great to hear from you. We should plan a GTG sometime in KC.

Your website is wonderful and I have seen many of the attractions that you reviewed. I have always said that Kansas is an amazing place but you have got to get out there and see it, not everything is advertised in neon lights.

Keith's too modest to post it, so here's his recent trip:

Rock Chalk Jayhawk - KU!!!
One game closer to the championship.
My niece's DH (from JO County) went to the game in Detroit. Wisconsin fans that had tickets for Sunday (today) game sold them cheap, so he changed flight and stayed an extra day to attend KU/Davidson. Should be another GOOD game, then it will prob. be KU/NC in final four!!! Wooo-hooo!
