First time Las Vegas - which hotel?
My daughter is getting married in October (2012) in Vegas. I am looking for a hotel that is suirtable for us and two other teenagers. Looking on this Forum, the Monte Carlo, Paris, Alladfins, Ballys, Bellagios and Flamingo are frequently mentioned. Are these on the Strip (or near to it) and are they suitable for teenagers and are they reasonably priced (I dont want poor quality)?
Many thanks for your help.

All on your list are located on the strip. They are all suitable for teenagers as much as any other hotel in Las Vegas. Bellagio is the nicest and costliest of the hotels you have listed. Alladin is now Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino. None of them are "poor" quality.

Congrats on your daughter's upcoming wedding.
Are you looking for 2 separate rooms, or will the teenagers be staying in your room? Because if that's the case, you might want to check out the Venetian since their rooms are quasi suites. I say "quasi" because they're not really 2 rooms, but one very large room that has the bed(s) on one level, and then a step-down to a spacious living area which (I think) has pull out sofas. It would give you more space to manuever, and the bathrooms are also large.
Also, at which hotel is the wedding taking place? They may offer you some discounts as part of a wedding package.

Recommendations to me from my daughter (who loves Vegas and has been 4/5 times) is to stay either at the Wynn, Bellagio or Venetian, perhaps Signature at MGM but not Ballys. Unsure why though, maybe it's the location We're in a similar situation, looking for accommodation for a first time visit to attend a wedding at the Bellagio.

Be sure to get on the email list for any of the casinos/hotels you might be interested in staying at--they will often send out rate specials by email.
There are many very nice hotels in Las Vegas. We have stayed at the Bellagio, the Alladin(no longer, it is now Planet Hollywood, Paris and Mandalay Bay. Except for the Mandalay Bay which is at the far end of the strip, the others are mid strip which is a convenient location. Having a suite at the Venetian for the 4 of you would be nice.
The Wynn, Bellagio and Venetian that are mentioned above are all very nice--a step up from Bally's but Bally's also has a good midstrip location and we have had friends stay there. The Signature at MGM is at the end of the strip across from the Mandalay Bay.
