First time in Southern CA
My husband, adult daughter and will be 7 month old grandaughter and I are planning a trip to Southern California over Xmas for 9 - 10 days. Where do you suggest we go and what are the must sees. All suggestions are appreciated. Also where should we fly into and out of. Thank you.

In downtown Los Angeles I like: Olvera Street, Chinatown, the Farmer's Market/the Grove, Walk of the Stars, Hollywood Sign, La Brea Tar Pits (I grew up there and still consider those the classics).
The Santa Monica pier and Pacific Palisades.
and of course Disneyland!
and some time at the beaches!!

You need to be a little more specific although Suze and Montereybob gave you some great recommendations. 9-10 days is pretty long and you will have a 7 month old with you. The weather in December could be nice as it often is but it also could be cold and rainy.
Are you interested in amusement parks, museums, the beach? Do you want to just see LA or also San Diego? With a baby, it would probably be good to get a suite type hotel room and at the most change rooms twice. Stay in the LA area for 4-5 days and the same in San Diego.
What type of budget to you have for your hotel?

Use the forum search box to search SAN DIEGO, ANAHEIM, sOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, LOS ANGELES etc. There are hundreds of previous topics with lots of information, and detailed trip reports from travelers. You might also search "traveling with a baby" for some insights.
