Fine Dining in Carlsbad, CA??

We will be in Carlsbad in a couple of weeks and would like to have a romantic dinner for two at a finer dining establishment. We are not limited to a particular type of food -- just some great atmosphere and good wine.... Thanks ever so much!!

Two 5* resorts that are in Carlsbad..
Four Seasons Aviara and La Costa Resort and Spa..
Friends have dined at Bellefleur in Carlsbad and enjoyed their meal.

Try Savory in Encinitas on El Camino Real (5 minute ride)great food but noisy; you can't go wrong at Belle Fleur; and of course the 4 Seasons will never disappoint. However, there is a wonderful tiny French bistro in downtown Carlsbad called Le Passage where have gone twice (we are in Carlsbad a few times a year) and love it.

Sereine - you are pretty close to Rancho Santa Fe from where Carlsbad - it has been years - maybe someone else can chime in - but if you ahve a car - and Tams or someone else has been there recently I had wonderful meals in the past at:

or

Please remember - it has been a LONG time since I dined at either -

Also - dh and I got an invite to the Grand Del Mar resort - and they said they had a 5 star resturant... I am not sure what the deal is with the resort of resturant - we have not checked it out yet.

Mille Fleurs is probably one of my favorite restaurants in the world!
Country French food in a gorgeous romantic setting..
Rancho Santa Fe is such a lovely town and I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Do make reservations quickly since it is Del Mar Horse Racing season and things are very busy here.
It's not far at all from Carlsbad..maybe 15 minutes max.
Dawn has exquisite taste!

Oh good Tams! I am glad it is still wonderful. I would be sad to hear different. The piano bar use to be a fun electic group on a weekend night

I meant to recommend Delicious <sp> as well... but again have not been there in ages and ages -

I love Rancho Santa Fe - and I think you have amazing taste!
