FERRY SERVICES PRINCE RUPERT TO SKAGWAY

My companion and myself are planning to ferry it from Prince Rupert to Skagway, taking our car with us. We arrive Vancouver on September 9, 1999 and will make oiur way up to Prince Rupert. Has anyone any comments they can add, or hints for us?

The Alaska Marine Highway system is good and I think the only way to ferry your car and you up through the inside passage. They have a home page with time of departures. The nice part of the ferry system is you can stop at all the little towns on the way and if you like stay a while and get on the next ferry north. Sept. is a good month for travel cause the tourist season is coming to a end. You should find lots of thing to do on the way. Have a good time.
From Wrangell, Alaska.

Dear Lynne,

Last summer I flew to Vancouver with my family, stayed there for four days, took a bus to Victoria, picked up a rental car in Victoria, drove up Vancouver Island to Port Hardy, and boarded a BC Ferry (Inside Passage) on foot (left rental car in Port Hardy for 2 days)for a round trip to Prince Rupert.(Overnight Cabins available on Inside Passage only). It was the most memorable vacation of my life. If you are into photography, take lots of film. I arranged the whole trip using the internet and telephone calls. BC tourism is of great help. If I can help, please send E-mail.
