Fasten Seat Belt While Seated. Huh?
Who is the author of this sign?

How about "Fasten Seat Belt."

Was the "...While Seated" added for the people so looped that they think they are supposed to fasten it even when they aren't seated?

No it means you only need to fasten your seatbelt when seated.

Personally, I bring my own bungee cord, which allows adjustability in times of water retention..

Once I pointed to the sign and commented (w/a smile) to the woman next to me, "It would be kind of hard to fasten it while you're standing, wouldn't it?" She looked at me like I was crazy.

Wonder what they're going to do when they install those standing "seats"...will the signs say "fasten seat belts while standing or sitting" ?
