Experiences with "Travel-Hawaii.com"

Planning our honeymoon and the deals apparently offered through the Travel-Hawaii.com on-line agency are far and away the best deals we've come up with so far. Has any one worked with these folks? Are they for real? Do they come through? Is there a catch?

Thanks so much for your help.

Aloha Mike,

Per your query I checked out their site.
Thought it was very well done. Air fare, hotel and car rental rates seems average. Would you clue us in on what vacation package in particular you thought was "the best deal you've come
up with"? Based on their prices which again we say are average - we can't see why they would't be able to come through.

For comparison check the following out:

Air Fares -"Cheap Tickets" 800-377-1000

Car Rental-"Alamo" they have a great deal when you use Hawaiian Air-even better than the "local's" rate!!

Accomdations-You might want to look into
Hawaii Vaction Rental(s) or Hawaii Condo Rental(s)on your favorite seach engine on the internet. You'll see beautiful vacation units, some right on the water.
Their rates on average are lower than the resorts/hotels' room rates and will feel like a suite instead of just a room.

We haven't done business with this company. But did notice they are members of BBB, if your concerned, find out which island they are located on
and call the BBB. Whenever we are in doubt, that's what we do.

Hope this was helpful. Have a wonderful honeymoon in Hawaii!

Well, they're saying they can get us three nights at the Colony Surf in Oahu, six nights at the Kaanapali Shores in Maui and three nights at the Kiahuna Plantation in Kauai (which is the package we've pretty well decided on) for $4,255, including air fare from St. Louis, interisland airfare and a rental car. That's about $1,500 less than what our local travel agent is quoting us for the same package and less than I've been able to find through any other travel agent or web site.

Hi Mike: I recently booked a fly/drive package with Ricardo of Travel-Hawaii and got what I considered to be a great deal for interisland air & car. They answered my email right away and my tickets came (all the way to Canada ) only a couple of days later. He was also very helpful and suggested interesting things to do while on the islands. Good luck! Barb

i just got off the phone with my girlfriend who said that travel-hawaii has lost her coupons in the past, and since they were non-refundable, she could not get them replaced. so i'm not sure if this company is all that reliable.

None of those hotels should cost more than $100/night for the two of you. I would also not rec staying at the Kaanapali Shores (Aston?) I stayed there a few yrs ago and it is to far from the fun part of Kaanapali. Get the Entertainment rate at the Marriott at Kaanapali instead--about $90/night last time I checked.

Mike- I am also from St. Louis (Md. Hts. area) and we are leaving in 3 weeks for Kaui and Maui. We went thru Classic Hawaii Vacations (thru our travel agent. I thought we got a fairly good deal for nine nights, 3 at Makaheana Condos in Kaui, 6 at Papakea Condos in Maui, airfare from St. Louis, interisland air and a car rental and insurance for a very comparable price to your rate. I just felt more comfortable going with a local travel agent and a reputable company in case things did not go well. But yes that price is very good. I don't know anything about where you are staying but I don't know that much about where we are staying either except what I've heard and looked up on internet. Since we are "neighbors" email me direct and maybe we can discuss further fun things to do in Hawaii! My husband and I can't wait to get there.

We booked a two week trip to Maui and Kauai last spring with "Bali Hai Travel" A Hawaii specialist.
Their web site was at www.vacation2hawaii.com This was last spring, since then they book to Cancun as well and have changed their name to All Globe Travel (I believe) Their service, recomendations and expertise were just great!! They saved us a bundle and after speaking to them they understood just what we wanted, and delivered!! We dealt with Suzzane. If you do want additional info Email me. [email protected]

I just booked a June, 3-island trip using Travel-Hawaii and had no problems. First of all, they have a great web site for looking at resorts and planning a trip, even if you plan to book elsewhere. After deciding on resorts, I tried to beat their price elsewhere including Pleasant Hawaii and Amer. Airlines vacation sites and couldn't even come close. I booked by phone, the prices were the same as they had listed on their site, and they mailed my vouchers right away. I've checked the reservations with the individual resorts and everything is in order, so I think I got a great deal.
