My parents took my husband and me to dinner at Windows on the World, it must have been in the mid-70s.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with some of us wanting to post our good memories. It's our way of paying homage today.

I was only on top of the WTC once. It was in 1980. I was in NYC on business, and my travel partner suggested we go for cocktails at Windows on the World. I still have the full pack of matches I collected when there. I keep it safely, in a small wooden box.

I have no fond memories.

I only have memories of coming home for a few nights work, a block from where a few of the Boston terrorists slept on 9/10. The Milner Hotel, an old flop house. I've often wondered if we crossed paths on the street, but I don't look for them.

I only have memories of my best friend that took that LA flight often and not knowing if she was gone, (luckily only a lot of expensive luggage and gadgets were lost, as she was flying on a different flight)

I only have memories of coming home and shaking as I watched the other buildings shaking live on the news, knowing that I had a few loved ones down there digging, covered in shreds of flesh, not knowing it until the horror of it hit them.

I have lots of memories of that day. No one intimate to me died that day, I had met a few that died that day.

I have no happy memories of the Twin Towers, so like the celebratory idea of this thread.

Alas it was cloudy here, no sunset.
