We ate at Delmonico's early this July. A group of seven had the tasting menu. $58.00 per person and everyone at the table had to order the same. With drinks and tip my meal ran around $90.
Food was good, the restaurant is nothing fancy at all. In fact, in order to get to our table we walked through a nondescript kitchen! I had my first and second mint juleps there and they were very tasty, and got more tasty as I finished them. Lots of waiters and the service was very good. I would only go back on occasions where people want to try an Emeril's establishment.
We also ate at K-Paul's (Prudomme) Restaurant and Brigtsen's. I would recommend Brigtsen's the highest and then DelMonico's and finally K-Paul's.

I like both but don't think they are the top restaurants in the city. If I had to choose, I'd probably pick NOLA. It is expensive, though. Last time my girlfriend and I had dinner there it was $175 for entrees, appetizers and wine.
