And what makes it even better is the new folks are part of the Sterling's existing staff so they know what already works and what needs to be tweaked. So its probably better than a new team coming in . . . .

I agree janis. I thought that was great since they had to live with what wasn't working. Exciting!

I forgot about Wine & Roses in Lodi and it is just 40 minutes from SMF. We live less than 10 minutes from W&R and have stayed there twice after a couple of company New Year's Eve parties were there.

It has all the look and feel of being in the Napa Valley. There is a tasting room just accross the parking lot from the hotel and the dining room has excellent food.

Couldn't find a place "special" enough that didn't break the bank near Arnold/Yosemite. We decided to stay near the airport on our way out at the LeRivage in Sacramento. It looks nice and seems reasonable for the amenities.
