Apple picking starts some time in September, depending on weather, location, and type of apple. If you want early fruit-picking, look for strawberries.

Even strawberries do not start until end of June - nothing to pick at Easter. If you live here, after strawberries there are raspberries (July and September, apples in fall, blueberries in July/Aug.) Boston Globe runs list of farms about a week before each season starts.
