Early 30's Girls Weekend

We are trying to plan a fun filled weekend in a fairly warm climate for late March. This would be a Thursday night/Friday morning trip for girlfriends coming from DC and Cincinnati, OH. We are looking for a place with some night life and good food etc. So far we have been exploring New Orleans and Miami. In Miami we would stay at Sheraton Bal Harbor b/c we have a discount avialable. Any suggestions on these places or others that are reachable for a long weekend and fun?

A friend was just telling me about a trip to Miami where they spent their time in South Beach. She really enjoyed it, and commented that tourism seemed to be way down, and therefore thought there might be some good deals.

I, personnally, have no experience-- just passing it along!

I don't know if you've made your plans/reservations yet, but I would not recommend staying at The Sheraton Bal Harbour if you plan on coming to Miami. I live in South Beach and the Sheraton Bal Harbour is a good 25 minute drive from South Beach. So unless you are planning to rent a car or pay a lot of money for taxi's, I would recommend that you stay at a hotel closer to South Beach. If you do come to Miami, let me know and I can recommend some good restaurants and bars...(I too am a female in my early 30's!).

I LOVE women in their early 30's. That's the best time for women.

They are past the "little girl" stage, yet still fresh like springtime.

Hi Girls,

I don't know what fun means to you, but I've been to both and I would say Florida.

I'm going to New Orleans this week for business. It's more of a roudy place than Florida. But Florida is trendy and the best dance clubs I've ever been too in the world. Email me for more advice on either one.

Either one is great and you will have fun.

Had a girl's weekend in New Orleans and we had a wonderful time. So much to do. You can be as crazy or conservative as you want to be. The food and architecture was fabulous.

Am not so enthralled with Miami. It just doesn't have the same charm and beauty of New Orleans.
