Driving time from Torrey to Zion Utah
Here's our itinerary, finally fine tuned.
fly into Vegas in the a.m.
rent car and drive to Zion by way of Hoover Dam
2 nights in Zion (cabin in the park)
2 nights in Bryce (cabin in the park)
1 night in Torrey (don't know where we are staying)
2 nights at the Desert Pearl in Sprindale (wanted to spend more time in Zion)
1 night in Vegas and home..
Does this sound like a good itinerary?
AND
how long is the drive from Torrey to Zion?
Thanks so much!

Sounds good to me (though someone must really want to see Hoover Dam). I like that you are spending a couple of days in each place instead of the must-see-everything-in-week strategy so many of us take.
Why not stay three days in Zion instead of stay two, go to Torrey, and then return to Zion? Just curious.
By the way, Mapquest shows Torrey to Zion is 182 miles, but will take nearly 5 hours.
Enjoy your trip.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for your reply.
We couldn't get more then 2 nights in the park when we booked the reservations so decided to move further north and catch Zion again on the way back.
We were going to spend our last night in LV but neither one of us care much for it, so we're staying two nights t the Desert Pearl and then heading to the airport from there.
So you didn't care for Hoover Dam?
I haven't seen it and thought it might be interesting.

There are two routes from Torrey to Zion. You could go back over Scenic Hwy 12 and I really recommend doing that because it looks different from each direction. This is 187 miles and my trip maker program says its 5 hours.
Taking Hwy's 24, 62 & 89 & 9 will be 182 miles and save you about 20 minutes but not as scenic IMHO.
I think you have a good plan. If I were going to change anything I might spend two nights in Torrey and only one night at Zion on the way back.

Hello Jaspertl - I didn't stop at Hoover Dam since someone said you couldn't take the inside tour - I just notice most of your trip was north of Vegas and didn't know if you'd want to use the drive time (about 1 hour each way from memory) for the other areas you are interested in.
I didn't mention it, but I really liked Springdale.
Have a good trip.
