Driving Route recommendation: Chicago to Philadelphia
Driving from Chicago to Philadelphia in mid-June. Will make one overnite stop.
From your experience do you prefer using PA Turnpike or Route 80.??
I have been warned of very aggressive drivers on the Turnpike and advised not to travel on it. Route 80 is longer so trying to decide.
Appreciate your input

I've driven the turnpikes and I've driven I-80 over long stretches, and neither stands above or below the other in terms of stress. The only things I'd consider are traffic and cost. Both, I should mention, are incredibly boring drives -- miles of concrete and not much else.

Interstate 80 east to State College. State College to Harrisburg on US Rt. 322 through Lewistown.
East on the Turnpike from Middletown to Philadelphia.
Your best bet for an overnight stay would be in State College along South Atherton St.
