Driving from Death Valley to Yosemite... question
#21
It isn't just insurance from the Rental agency to worry about - insurance provided by a cc or private car insurance would also be voided since a rental car is usually not contracted to be driven off-road.
Of course do what you want. The insurance is just something your should consider. I have driven through Titus Canyon, but I personally would not risk it in a rental car.

kodi: ignore eulariza - s/he has posted 5 times on Fodors and every single one is a link to the same website.
eulariza: Advertising is not allowed on here - and most of us have our own favorite mapping sites that are better than that weird . . . . .

Spiro, they look amazing... but I have to agree with Janis... I don't want to risk damaging the rental car. I'll check with my insurance before I leave home.. but I don't think they'd cover any damages if the rental agreement forbids these types of roads.
Besides, what if my 3 gallons of water isn't enough if we break down?????
