Driving Chicago to Minneapolis

Is there a particularly nice driving route (scenery, sites) between Milwaukee and Minneapolis?

Oops, title said Chicago, but we'll be in Milwaukee before proceeding to Minneapolis.

US 18 all the way across WI to Prairie du Chien then north along the Mississippi River (either side). Take US 61 after you get to La Crosse.
