Down to Last decision between 2 Maui Resorts

With the Revealed books and all the help from my fellow Fodorites I have my entire honeymoon for next Sept 2004. I am having a terrible decision deciding between Kapalua Ocean Villas and the 4 Seasons Hotel on Maui for 5 nights. I would like your vote with the below things considered.

1) It will be mid-september
2) Just 2 adults (45 & 52)
3) Won't spend much time at the pool.
4) A view from the property is important
5) Price is not a factor
6) We will not be doing any dinner shows in Lahina area
7) We will not be driving to Hana
8) We will be taking the Maui Kayaka trip to Fishbowl and Aquarium
9) We will be taking the Trilogy Day Trip to Lanai
10) We will DRIVE up to the crater to watch the sunrise the drive around and over the TOP west side of Maui
11) We like good food.
12) Shopping is not important
13) This is our honeymoon so romantic is a very good thing.
14) We would not like a Grand Wailea type place.

Which of these 2 hotels do you think would fit our needs best?

Thanks for all of your opinions.

In saying that price is not a factor are you implying that you will be reserving the best room available at either place?
If that's the case, the oceanview suites at the FS are definitely superior to the villas at the KBH. That is, the rooms themselves are much nicer at the FS. I don't care for the villas at the KBH because they feel like apartments, cut off from the main hotel and not my idea of luxury/service oriented set-up. If you were travelling with kids, the extra space and laundry amenities atc at the villas would be a plus. If it's 2 adults, that's different.
Everyone has different tastes when it comes to what they enjoy about a resort.
I like great service, maximum convenience, high end rooms and I don't like being set apart from the main resort (though some people consider that a plus).
We had a reservation at the KBH villas several years ago and checked out, into a lower grade room in the hotel for the reasons above.
Next rip we stayed at the FS. Every trip since we've stayed at the FS. So I'm quite biased about these two places, in opposite directions.
Kapalua is definitely a prettier area than Wailea. But the KBH doesn't measure up to the FS at all.

4$. But if item 14 is really bothersome, since the 4$ pool area is adjacent to the GW and shares the same beach, I'd opt for the Ritz.

Don't worry, I hardly doubt this will be your "last decision" as your HM is more than a FULL YEAR away.

gplimpton - What I mean about Price is that - All the other factors are more important than price. i.e. - I wouldn't want someone to say Kapalua Villas because I could get a better deal there.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Bluefan - I've ruled out the Ritz because people here have complained about it's distance from the beach and it's comparison to the 4$ are poor. I've been plannng this HM since January so I've read almost every post out here plus a few travel books. If the 4$ were near Kapalua Bay, I'd probably be set.

I think you may want to consider weather. I have heard it can be windy up in Kapalua at times. I my self have never had bad weather there, but I do know that it does tend to be drier and sunnier in the Wailea area where the 4S is located. Having said that, Sept is one of the few months that I have not stayed in Hawaii so I cannot say for certain if there are weather patterns for that month. I think you cannot go wrong with either of you choices but I tend to lean toward the 4S just for the sheer luxury and opulence of the place. I would think Sept is a great time to go as far as having no families around, should be lovely!
