Don't know where to go in March

I have to travel the last week in March due to my school's spring break. Flights from the midwest to any place warm are always too expensive the weeks around Easter. That eliminates my first choice of Arizona. It is just too far away. I have to drive from Iowa to my destination. Last year I went to New Orleans which I really enjoyed. I am considering Asheville and the Smokey Mountain area. I am just concerned that it will be too cool. It will be too early for spring flowers, I believe. I like nature and outdoor exploration. Has anyone been there in late March?

I would not expect it to be warm in the NC/TN mountains in late March, but you could get lucky. Most trees will still be bare and I wouldn't expect to see many flowers. Still a great area to visit though.

San Antonio. Have you checked out fares on SW? They're running a special right now, but I haven't checked the details. If you live in western IA, you could catch them in Omaha for AZ, etc.

Does Southwest serve your market? I ask because tickets to Orlando during Holy Week were $557 each on American and $249 on Southwest.

Are you interested in Cape Cod, South Yarmouth, MA? I have a vacation rental available right on the beach that you could take advantage of. Price is $685 for 7 nights from March 28th - April 4th. It would be a wonderful New England vacation.

Do NOT stay at Ksunshine's house. It is full of cockroaches and the toilets overflow!
