Does anyone have directions on how to build an ark? We have had a foot of rain north of Boston and I need to get away.

Are white socks with sandals acceptable? Will there be enough peanuts to go around, or will the elephants hog them all?

Help me with the float budget. How much should I allocate to tip the captain of the ark?

Well shoot, if the rule is no FANNY PACKS, I don't know if I want to take a trip on this ark. I mean FANNY PACKS are such a fashion statement!

Brilliant! Can I book a space on your ark for me and my chickens? Oh, and probably husband and son too.

Here in the UK we've been told we are facing the worst drought in 70 years, and some regions already have "drought orders" and people can't wash cars or water gardens (even with buckets/cans).

It's a bit hard to take it seriously though, when it's been raining here on 3 out of the last 4 days, and the garden has that wonderful May green-ness. It's all to do with the dry winter, apparently.

Okay, I just got off of weather.com...WHO'S BEEN SENDING THE RAIN TO PARIS?!?

Thank you in advance for sending it elsewhere (to poster Neil from Oz, perhaps?)...

Christina

PS...Extra thanks to anyone who can stop the rain in Jersey as well...the wet dog smell in my house is slowly killing us all~

I saw the pictures on the News last night. All of New England looks hard hit and NH looks like Noah's sailed away already.

Flooding is so hard, and I know how the aftermath can be. Here's hoping that the next few storms don't get stuck in that spiral again and you all have a good long spell to help dry yourselves out.

We had the opposite last summer, a real drought, so all our grasses and plants look vibrant finally again. But take care, especially when driving. Some of those puddles are deeper than they look.

Rain, rain, go away.

"All of New England looks hard hit "

Nothing could be farther from the truth. The heavy rains fell on a narrow band of suburbs north of Boston and into NH. The rest of us have just had a week of gloomy cold wet days. I live just south of Boston, and the river near my house is 20 feet below flood level.

The news did not portray it that way.

Huh? I'm in CT and while we didn't get near as much rain as Boston and NH, all the rivers here are at or above flood level.

Maybe it just missed wherever anonymous lives?

Roads and waterways in RI are topping off. I have nice big puddles in my yard - the ducks will be arriving soon.
Even the dog doesn't want to go out - wish I didn't have to!

No problem though with RI state support if we get in a flood alert - we do have Patrick after all (where is he,btw?)
He and his Dad are know to get out of water situations (literally) with ease LOL!
I appologize ahead to all you Ted and Patrick lovers - sorry!

We havent had much rain at all in my part of Vermont, although a flood watch was just issued, so we'll see. Pretty gloomy now, no rain yet!

I assume nobody will be wearing shorts boarding the ark?

Is there a luggage limit? How many carry-ons allowed?

Here's the deal. In order to build an ark, you have to have cypress wood and know what a cubic is.

It's pretty bad by the Lawrence/Lowell area. Waste is in the rivers. Hundreds were evacuated.
