do you know any good shows in new york city
my husband and I are going to NYC the first of Nov and want to see a good off broadway show. nothing mainstream but good. we like the whole spectrem from drama to show tunes. we would appreciate any help, we live in atlanta where we don't get to much from the norm. thanks

I was in NYC in June and saw "Thunder Knocking on the Door". My friend and I really enjoyed it. It is about a black Alabama family in the 60's. Lots of great blues music and Leslie Uggams is in it. I was a bit skeptical about seeing an off-Broadway show, but it really was one of my favorites of the 5 shows that we saw. It is a bit hard to find the theatre down in Greenwich Village, so make sure you allot enough time to find it. Have a great time!

Just saw Burn This on Saturday night at the Union Square Theatre. It stars Edward Norton & Catherine Keener (as well as 2 other less well-known, but very talented actors). It was amazing! Highly recommend it if you can find tickets!!!
Believe it's sold out, but there's always a chance of day-of-show tickets.
