We were there May 18. Get ready for crowds...er, CROWDS !!! We were still in the "pre" season, and it was packed. The adults loved the Lion King musical presentation, and the kids loved the Bug 3D show (Under the Big Tree), and the jeep safari. Very nice grounds and landscaping in the park. GO EARLY in the day, take a break in the afternoon, pray for rain, then go back in the evening for a couple more hours !! Good luck.

We just came back from WDW 2 weeks ago. The Animal Kingdom is fabulous!! Being the newest park, we found it was the most crowded of all. My suggestion is to visit one of the Water Parks in the Am and early afternoon. Go to the Animal Kingdom about 3 p.m. or so when some of the crowd is leaving. You will get into some of the main attractions without the 1 hour wait and the heat of the day. We went with kids (5, 12 and 13) and found this to be our best bet. If you have a hopper pass, you can return on another day to see anything you missed. There are also more animals out on the evening safari trip. Have a fabulous time!!

We went to Animal Kingdom at the beginning of May, and had two kids, ages 1 and 4, with us. Obviously, the 1-year-old wasn't interested, but the 4-year old liked it. However, the only thing there for young kids are the Safari and the Boneyard. Otherwise, everything is geared more to older kids and adults, like the 3-D Bug Show and Countdown to Extinction. My recommendation, if you have small kids, would be to get there as early in the day as possible, go straight to the Safari, then wander to the Boneyard and look around at everything else quickly. Spend the rest of your day at the other parks. Thjis one isn't as impressive as it should be.

We were at Animal Kingdom 2 weeks ago and we enjoyed it, however, we did not see very many animals. This park is very commercial. We loved the Lion King show, the 3-D Bug show in the Tree of Life and the safari.. Go early in the morning, the park opens at 7:00. We found it to be less crowded in the AM. In the afternoon you will have to deal with the heat as well as the crowds. Enjoy your trip.

We just got back from Disney World yesterday. The Animal Kingdom was nice but be there at 7:00 to 7:30 am or wait until 3:00 pm or the lines are horrendous. The Safari ride should be your first stop if you go in the morning you see more animals and beat the line, you will not believe how fast that line can grow! Countdown to Extinction is great but my 7 year old was scared stiff and she rode the tower of terror and loved it so she does not scare easily but the dinasours on this ride were too real for her. The discovery river cruise is pleasant and relaxing but you really do not see much I would not wait in along line for it. I hope this helps you out have a great trip.
