Disneyland
We are taking our 8 year old granddaughter to Disneyland in two weeks. We have one day in Disneyland and one day in adventure land. Any suggestions for an order of rides to hit to maximize our time. We are novices! Thank you.

Are you staying on property and have early access?
In CA Adventure - Radiator Springs, Frozen and Soaring get very busy so you should plan your day around them.
Disneyland is much larger and some of the attractions in every 'land' have long lines.
This site isn't my favorite but I do like this list -- look at all the 4's and above in the 'Grade School' column to give you an idea which attractions to concentrate on . . . https://touringplans.com/disneyland/attractions
Use fastpass whenever you can
You have two other earlier threads just in case you need some of the info from them:

No matter hard it is, I'd strongly encourage getting there so as to enter as soon as possible when the park opens.
You'll want to decide what her must do rides are. Some rides have Fastpasses and many don't. Lately in Disneyland we pull Star Tours First. And for Cal Adventure, we pull Soarin' first. We use the Single Rider line on Radiator Springs. You may not be able to do that, so I'd probably pull that one first.
Assuming she wants to ride Peter Pan you should head there right away after pulling the first Fastpass.
By about noon to 1pm the lines are just miserable and you'll probably want to leave... or go to a show (eg in Cal Adventure you can go to the Frozen musical).
Be sure to go on the official calendar at the website to read about what's on Fastpass and the entertainment schedule.
I have not used the new Maxpass option. You can read about it on the Disney website.
