I live in FL & March is a great time as it is warm but not hot and if not during a vacation period, not all that crowded. May will be much warmer: highs in 80's definitely and 90's likely. My suggestion for a site Not affiliated with Disney is www.wdn.com/dwills/
This is Deb's disney digest and has lots of information from visitors that you can't necessarily get elsewhere.

We were at WDW during the first week of March 1997. Crowds were moderate, more than when we were there October 1996 but less than busy summer months. I also believe that crowds build as the month goes on. Spring breaks definitely play a part as far as crowds go; we saw lots of college-age kids, especially at Pleasure Island. The weather was great: nice, warm days (you can swim). The parks stay open a little bit later especially on week-ends. Deb's Disney Digest is a great place to start for information; she also has great links to other places like TUDLP (The Ultimate Disney Link Page). Have fun, and BTW, I'll be there in March 1998 myself!

Hi. We visited Disney World in March of 96. Maybe it was a fluke but the weather was horrible. We were there the second week of March and it was cold and wet. The crowds were not bad though. We still did all we wanted to do (except swim). We went back again Dec. 6th of last year and found it to be much better. I hope you have better luck than we did. Have a blast!
