There are quite a few really nice hotels within WDW. Each one has a different atmosphere all it's own. It depends on what type of vacation you're looking for. The Polyn. is pretty and very tropical. The Wilderness Lodge is beautiful, somewhat secluded and woodsy. I've heard the rooms are somewhat on the smaller size. If you are looking to be "in the middle of the action" The Boardwalk Villas are great....I could go on and on. They are all quite different

The Grand Floridian...hands down. top notch hotel at Disney.
It's where Princess Di brought her sons for WDW vacation.
Pricey, but amazing
The Contemporary is nice as well..The California Grill is a wonderfull restaurant on the top floor...Fav Restaurant of Regis Philbin

You can hardly go wrong if you stay at a disney owned resort. We stayed at Dixie Landings (which has changed it's name to something else) and really loved it, but it is very spread out so you walk a ways to the pool but the walk is VERY pretty. Ate dinner at the Wilderness and although I thought the food was just OK, the hotel was really neat! Lastly, we did look at the all-star line of hotels Disney owns, and they would be my last choice unless on a budget. They are the cheapest of their line and always full.
