Disney tickets for half the price?
Some friends has just arrived from Orlando/Disney and they said they have bought already used "five day hopper" tickets for half the price they would pay in regular ones. It is supposed to be sold by people who bought it and didn't use all the 5 days so these people sold the ticket to a kind of agent and this agent sells it to others. Does is exists? Is legal? The price is really so low?

I was at WDW four years ago and passed up a similar offer, fearing that it was a scam or that Disney would consider the passes to be non-transferable. I recall later hearing that Disney was fighting it but that the courts determined the 5 day passes to be transferable. If you expect to visit multiple parks (perhaps not a full day in every park), the pass can be cheaper than individual admissions even if you only stay for 2 -3 days. For this reason many people will sell the "unused" portion of their pass to brokers for only a few dollars when thy're leaving. I'd suggest contacting the tourism bureau of the Kissimmee area or better yet, see if FL has a state Consumer Affairs department - they should be able to give you a confirmation of legality.

My interest piqued by your question, I did an internet search for "W.D.W. ticket brokers" and came across a website that described all of the tickets and prices for WDW. There is a new discussion board on it pertaining to questions just on WDW. Its kindof neat. Why don't you post your question there as well. May get a good conversation going on the topic. I for one would not go back to WDW. A family of four just can't afford it, so would like to find something like this myself.

We were at WDW with our nieces in January, and the ticket stands are everywhere, including outside the IHOP.
However, we bought our tickets at the desk inside the hotel where we stayed. We were there over New Year's and the 25th anniversary. The reason we opted to buy the tickets at the desk inside the hotel was because there was so much increased traffic over the holiday that the parks closed early (10:00 a.m.) a few days because they couldn't fit anyone else in the parks. However, by buying the tickets in advance at the hotel, we were guaranteed admission to the parks even if they closed the gates and we didn't have to wait in line at the park for tickets.
I'm not sure if the tickets bought from the brokers would also guarantee you admission if the parks closed the gates early due to overcrowding. Also, the ticket agent at the hotel told us that there is no way to guarantee that the tickets you buy from a broker are legit. I guess there have been cases where fake tickets and invalid tickets have been sold leaving the purchasers of them stuck once they got to the park. Due to the electronic bar code on the tickets, I believe there is really no way to tell exactly how many days for sure are left on the tickets. They scan the ticket each time you go into WDW.
One way you can get discounted tickets is to get a WDW Club Card. I got one where I work because we have a large number of employees and the benefit office has them available for us. Then, you take the discounted card to an Disney Store in a mall, and I think the discount is 10 or 20 percent off the regular ticket price. The card also gives you a similar discount on the Disney Stores in malls and other selected Disney Stores (not in WDW) but I believe at the stores outside the immediate park area. Even though I got the card, every time I visited the Disney Store it seems I forgot my card, so a lot of good it did me!!
Good luck, though.

An update: I've confirmed that any unused days on a "Hopper" pass are good indefinitely but have been advised that the fineprint on the ticket specifies that the unused portion is NOT transferable. I still have a strong suspicion that WDW may be legally required to honor them but the risks of buying from a non-authorized agent seem high. I believe that discounts other than the one mentioned in the previous reply are available - AAA auto club members used to get 10%. It appears the Adriana (the original poster) is from Brazil - perhaps someone can suggest a way for her to get a discount?
