Noah;
It's time to give this thread a rest. You have more than made your point. Let's move on to something else more relevant to traveling. Please be gracious.

Noah, at this point you are doing your "cause" more harm than good. I WANT to go to Disney now!

Gee, Noah, your opinions have really had an effect on us. My spouse and I are going to go to Disney World in May and then Disneyland in June with the kids, just to see if you have a point (NOT!!!).

While your living-it up and enjoying yourself and making the Disney executives even richer, think about all of the people in other countries who toil 18 hrs. a day in filthy, unsafe conditions for pennies and then go home to run-down shacks.

To Noah: Keep up the good work, ( no pun intended on the word 'work'). I am totally disgusted with Disney and the Floridian property owners that opportunize Disney to inflate property values.

Noah -- you are right as far as you take it, but there isn't much that Disney does that most other corporations wouldn't do if they thought they could get away with it. It's just more revolting because Disney's supposed to be associated with wholesomeness and family values. If you haven't yet, read Miami columnist Carl Hiassen's book, Team Rodent. It's not just sweatshops, it's incursions into education and information sources with a hammer-lock on what can be said and what is condemned. No, AMS, it isn't a conspiracy if everyone already has the same mindset. The Borg weren't a conspiracy.

But Noah, expect -- count on -- taking lots of heat from those in this forum who are dedicated to travel as an exercise in mindless indulgence, as if privilege were their birthright. I think the reasons for traveling and the expectations about what it should do for you are fair topics. And sometimes escape is the point, but it shouldn't mean you return from your travels even further removed from reality.

I'd be inclined to say forget about 'em, they are un-educable, but I don't know where else ANYONE is pointing out how far down the abyss of self-justifying amorality the corporate entertainment field has gone. Do I sound like an ultra-liberal? Do I sound like an ultra-religious conservative? I'm both and neither. I just keep hoping people will stop even for a second and think about what they are doing to their minds and their planet in the name of fun.

AMS, Noah and Rob-Take your debate elsewhere. This is not the forum for it.
And AMS if you hate Florida so much why don't you just move? Or is it because they won't let you out of the psych ward??

To Hadit, previous message:
Had you read my "Florida Is Still Unsafe " forum you would have realized that I had answered your question on several occasions. I will answer that question one more time. Florida is my home. I consider myself to be part of that small group fighting to save the 'Alamo'.

As far as your reference to a 'psycho ward', your comments are not appreciated although I recognize you make such statements due to your own frustration. However, there are some severely ill people that do need to be institutionalized so you should not satirize such institutions.

More interesting reading:

See Frommer's editorial, "Slave Labor on Love Boat" linked to testy opinions. http://www.frommers.com .

It is clearly not morally responsible for tourists to patronize companies that exploit human beings, (slave labor).

Message: Drop dead Noah !!
Talk about Disney? Why don't you tell everyone about you and slave labor. You and
your family didn't build the ark, that's a lie. What really happened was Noah promised all
of the folks in the valley a free ride when the rains came if they would build the ark.Well
the rest is history,it rained and rained and Noah loaded the boat with a bunch of animals
and left his neighbors(cheap labor)to sink or swim. Now I ask you folks, are you going to
pay any attention to this Noah guy??? Boycott Noah !!!!

From Crusader the Rabbit:
As a member of the rodent family, although most people believe rabbits to be mammals, I see nothing wrong with the action taken by the original Noah of the Ark.

If Kathy Lee gets pummeled for labor issues, why shouldn't WD & Co? The level of vitriol AGAINST this post, makes me all the more curious about the info it offers....

Since someone recently asked why I hate Disney, I decided to bring this one up again.

It is interesting to note how threatened so many people obviously feel by my pointing-out the truth about Disney. Could it be because they know deep inside that I am right and feel guilty?

Noah-You just don't get it do you? It is obvious that you are not real popular on this site. Why are you still here??? No one cares one iota what you say. And from the negative feedback you keep getting, everyone wishes you would go away. Why are you still posting here? Don't you have anything better to do? Or do you need attention so bad you keep coming back here????
