We stayed at the all-star sports resort [baseball] in the middle of october 96. The weather was great I do not know what it would be 1 month later though. The resort is nice the rooms were comfortable if not very large. Our room was clean my 5 year old daughter loved the decorations she really got a charge out of the stairway inside of a giant coke cup. The bus system to the parks was great we had a rental car but never used it while at disney world. If you do go be sure and buy the commuter cup on your first day you get free refills of coffee and pop your whole stay. Feel free to e-mail me with any Questions.

We have have stayed at both the All Star Music and Sports resorts. Both were nice, basic, very clean and full of the Disney charm. Back in March 97 we were accompanied by our teenage sons at the Sports section of the resorts. They loved the pool area and even the Disney movies that are played in the eating area adjacent to the Food Court. There is also an arcade that all kids enjoy. We also bought the refill cups which we filled over and over again. This November 8-15, 1997 my husband and I enjoyed the Music resort. The weather was pool type weather except for one day that it just poured and poured. We toured the resorts on the monorail on that day and just enjoyed their restaurants and shopping areas. I would say that it was in the mid 70's and the crowds were just about average. Not too much waiting. We used the bus service most of the time but did enjoy our rental car to check out some of the other resort restaurant such as the Wilderness lodge. Apparently difficult to get to by bus. If you want quiet you could request the Country Music section (where we stayed) which is the furthest from the Main Buildings. The Calypso and Jazz are very close. There are two pools, one at each end of the complex. One of the neat things I found was the food wagon near our Country section so we didn't have to walk the whole way to get a coffee and Danish in the morning. The Food Court has a wide variety and also has pizza which can be delivered to your room. The customer service staff are very helpfull. I suggest you get all the park pamphlets upon your arrival so that you can make your plans. You may want to purchase your tickets from them too. I liked it so much that I am bringing my mother there in May. I hope the weather isn't too hot. I could go on and on but if you want more specific info, please e-mail me. Have a wonderful time!

We have stayed at the All Star Sports resort. It was clean and nice, but if you do not have children, you may want to avoid it. Opt for Port Orleans or Dixie Landings instead. Of those two, I would choose Port Orleans simply because of bus service. Dixie Landings is last on the route and often the busses are full by the time they get to your stop. Have fun!
