directions

I am tired of using map quest for directions.

what are some better map sites?

I always use freetrip.com.
It will give miles, time, and hotels along the way from point to point, but does not fine tune it to include street addresses as mapquest does.

This isn't what you were asking about, but I LOVE and can't live without my Micrsoft Streets and Trip computer program. It's the FIRST program I installed on my new computer!

You can put in all the different stops you want to make. You can change the speed at which you travel. You can go door to door just like on map quest. You can get the program really cheap at Costco.

After trying many of the above for various trips- I definitely like this one the best:

It is superb in noting closed roads and various new changes.

Mapquest is horrible. For the exact correct addresses it sends people to a lake 100 miles east of my house in MI which has a similar name. Also new roads are very often omitted. One time it sent us into a soy bean field in IN.
