Since you didn't indicate from where following is an all inclusive answer
From Europe - fly into JFK and take a cab to 57th and 7th Avenue.
From any state west, north and south of NY - fly to LGA and then the cab
From Long Island - LIRR to Penn Station and then the cab.
From suburbs - Metro North to Grand Central station and then cab.
From NJ - bus to Port Authority and then cab.
From Upper West Side - Manhattan - #1 or #2 train to 59th St. and then walk. SAme if coming from the Bronx.
From downtown Manhattan - N or R to 57th Street station.
From Brooklyn - people from Brooklyn don't go to Carnegia Hall. They go to BAM
From Queens - #7 to Times Square, N or R to 57th St.
From anywhere in midtown NY - walk
