I have been to the DiBruno Brothers location in the Italian Market. It is very small and every time I have been there it was so crowded I didn't feel comfortable and left. I know everyone raves about their stuff - what is your favorite stuff to buy there?

I ran across one of their counters at the Suburban Square Farmers Market today, and sampled 4 of their cheeses and bought 2 of them. It was a much more pleasant experience without dozens of people around. The people working there were really helpful and the cheeses are amazing.

I visited the store downtown and bought a fantastic Italian sub.

Logan - is the downtown store less claustrophobic? I never think to search that one out when I'm in the area.

(I tend to go to the 17th and Chestnut one, a much less squashy experience. Quite a lovely store!)

I too was going to recommend the burrata. Truffle or plain burrata is amazing.

The store I went to is near Rittenhouse Square and it was spacious .
I bought the pre-maid sandwich from a display, I like my hoagies after they've sat for a while.

There is a location now at Ninth and Sansom but we prefer the one near Rittenhouse Square.

We like the aged Balsamico Suite vinegar, it's almost syrupy,

HisD - what do you use the truffle paste for?

Buy what looks good because it's all good. I've had the burrata at Amy's suggestion and loved it. I usually go around and try the cheese samples and usually walk out with at least a couple of them. I've even bought one of their sauces and pasta to heat up in my hotel room. The garlic broccoli rabe was a perfect side dish. Oh, and there the Italian cookies, and the cake slices, and the salamis,....
