DFW airport- park and fly

We have a 7:00 am flight and need a hotel for the night before with a shuttle and park and fly option. Anyone know a good choice?

Thanks!

The Grand Hyatt DFW connected to terminal D has park and fly packages available. No need for shuttle as you are in the airport.

The other Hyatt is also at the airport and also has park and fly packages but you need to take their shuttle to get to the terminal as the hotel is not connected to the terminals.

Just like any major airport, DFW is surrounded by many hotels/motels which offer free shuttles and in many cases park/fly rates.

It all depends on how much you want to spend. The grand Hyatt is a very good choice but it is on the expensive side.

Whatever hotel you chose make sure to verify the shuttle service. Some don't run a shuttle 24 hours. The first shuttle may start at 5 or 6 am

There are many motel/hotels near the airport that is convenient for shuttle service. We stay near the Parking Spot off of 114/John Carpenter Freeway on Plaza Drive & Estes. They offer covered parking and you can find a coupon online as well. We use them often for our early morning departures. Check out the map function on Expedia for a hotel nearby.

I don't know if you are coming from the south or north of DFW so go to their website to pick which location is best for you.

www.theparkingspot.com

Grand Hyatt is very expensive to leave your car while on vacation. However, if you don't have a car then this is a convenient but more expensive option.

huh?

I never said the hotel was cheap, but your statement does not make sense...

Pre-paid advance purchase rate ~$200 per night

Park/Fly rate - $270 - 1 night stay plus 7 nights parking, equals to about $10 per day parking. VERY expensive?

AA, I have never been offered your park/fly rate when we have inquired about rates.

Without your special offer it is expensive compared to off-site parking.

I was offering my experience.

Fair enough, but my point is that one should never note that "it is" when the only thing the reply is based on is 1 or 2 personal experiences.

I don't know how you tried to book the rooms there but if you simply went to their website, picked any random 1 night stay, you would be given a myriad of different rates and one of the rates is Park/Fly rate.

In fact when I just went to check it again, a random date in Oct09 showed a room rate of $240 per nightfor room only but surprisingly the park/fly rate stayed the same as when I checked a date in Jul09 which showed the rate of $200 per room only but $270 per room and 7 nights parking.

You can stay at a Super 8 just out the north entrance for $50 a night. They have free 24 hour shuttles. It's clean and they have a free continental breakfast.

I've stayed at many different of the Marriott brand hotels (Marriott, SpringHill Suites, Fairfield Inn, etc.) that offer Park-n-Fly to DFW. All have been fine, but as AAFrequent Flyer noted the shuttles don't all run 24 hours. You can go to www.marriott.com and enter "DFW" as your destination and a list of hotels will come up starting with the closest to the airport. You can click on the hotel which takes you to the main hotel page, then click on "Maps and Transportation" and this will take you to a page that tells if there is an airport shuttle and the hours of operation. This way you can pick a hotel that will suit your particular needs.

The DFW Airport Marriott has a 24 hour shuttle and the hotel was fine.
