Karenpj,
It's not a full restaurant--just desserts and some lunch items. Plus necessities: wine and beer and sake. Top floor, by the magazines.

When we're shopping and in the mood for an afternoon dessert nosh, we always pop into the Rotunda at Neiman Marcus. Equisite desserts, beautiful restaurant, great staff and wonderful views.

Open at night, but if you want a delicious souffle, make a reservation at Cafe Jaqueline on Grant St.

You could always just pop into Kuleto's on Powell, for a nice dessert such as their famed tiramisu.

My daughter had dinner at at Kuleto's, though I don't think we had dessert there. I think after a play at Max's on Geary.
